The staff


The staff to child ratio is

    • One adult to three children for children under 2 years
    • One adult to four children for children aged 2 to 3
    • One adult to eight children for children aged 3 and over


 Each unit has a team leader who is qualified and very experienced in what they do and ensure the unit is well run at all times. The manager and deputy managers work closely with the team leaders to ensure an effective line of accountability.        

Staff are fully vetted when recruited and no adult is left unattended with a child until their Criminal Records Bureau Clearance is confirmed             

 We are very proud that we have a good mixture of younger and mature staff in our nursery as this brings a good balance to the care that all children receive.  
  The team treat every child as an individual with an emphasis on providing affectionate and warm care. Every child is given individual support to fully enjoy and benefit from our resources and environment  We offer part time working patterns of morning teams and afternoon teams. This provides consistent care and ensures staff remain fresh in their work place and that we attract mature staff who can balance working with their own family commitments.  We follow requirements set by the government that no more than 50% of our staff are unqualified. Any unqualified staff that join the team commit to train and qualify as part of their employment.
